It gives me great pleasure to confirm that our 19th Annual Conference will be held at the Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel on 22–23 June 2017. The Bristol Marriott Royal Hotel is set in the heart of the city, close to many central attractions and within easy reach of Bristol’s diverse transport network.
We have formally invited Local Hosts to assist the NHIVNA Committee in preparing the logistical aspects of the conference and to bring a local flavour to the programme. We are delighted that Kieran Sharkey and Elizabeth Williams from North Bristol NHS Trust, have kindly accepted our invitations to fulfil this role.
The programme is in great shape and we are thrilled that a number of eminent speakers have agreed to participate at the conference. One of the highlights of the conference will undoubtedly be the presentation of the very latest research, education and clinical practice initiatives in HIV nursing during the oral presentation sessions, which will form part of the main plenary sessions.
You will also notice that as part of the Announcement we have included registration information. I encourage as many delegates as possible to register early to obtain the early registration fees. NHIVNA endeavours to keep the cost of registration as low as possible in order to allow as many potential delegates as possible to attend this important event. Preferential rates have been agreed at a selection of hotels catering for all our delegates’ budgets. Rates and details are available via this website (available shortly). A number of scholarships and awards are still available and further details can be also be viewed on this website (available shortly).
NHIVNA will be holding its conference Social Event on the Thursday evening of the conference. In true NHIVNA tradition, we anticipate an evening of good food, followed by after-dinner entertainment - including dancing.
I look forward to welcoming you to Bristol!
